From the heart of East Village, walk west on Locust Street toward the Des Moines River. Continue to the riverfront, turn left, and walk along the riverwalk. The Liberty Bell Memorial will be on your right, near the entrance of the Capitol grounds.

From West Des Moines, take DART bus route 52 towards Downtown Des Moines. Get off at 5th and Court Avenue. Walk east on Court Avenue to the Des Moines River, cross the river, and continue to East Grand Avenue. Turn left on Grand Avenue and walk to the Liberty Bell Memorial. A single ride on DART is $1.75.

From I-235, take Exit 8B for East 6th Street and go south into East Village. From downtown, take Grand, Locust, Walnut, or Court Avenue east across the Des Moines River. Parking is available in the ramp at East Second Street and East Grand Avenue, with a free ramp at East Grand Avenue and Pennsylvania Avenue. Metered parking costs between $0.25 and $1.25 per hour.
