Spook Cave: Iowa's Underground Adventure

Spook Cave, located near McGregor, Iowa, provides a distinctive and entertaining experience for visitors of all ages. The water inside the cave averages between 14 inches and 2 feet deep, and the temperature remains a constant 47 degrees Fahrenheit. Be prepared to duck under low ceilings in certain sections of the cave. Spook Cave is part of the Driftless Area, known for its karst topography, caves, sinkholes, and cold springs. The surrounding area offers additional attractions, including Pikes Peak State Park and Effigy Mounds National Monument.
