Walking
From Duhok city center, begin at the main square (Shahran Square). Head south on 40th Street until the intersection with 60th Street. Turn left onto 60th Street and continue for about 1 kilometer. Follow the signs to Zawa Mountain and continue to the foot of the mountain, where you'll find a pathway leading up. Walking to the mountain base takes approximately 45 minutes. There are no costs associated with walking.

From Shahran Square in Duhok, take a minibus heading towards Zawa Mountain. Look for minibuses displaying 'Zawa' or 'Zawita' on their front. Inform the driver of your destination. The minibus will drop you off near the base of the mountain. From there, follow the pathway to the summit. The minibus fare is approximately 3,000 IQD.
