Getting There

  • Driving

    From Doolin, head south towards the Cliffs of Moher. Continue past the main Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre. Follow the road towards Lough South. Pollboy Lookout is located near the end of the road in Luogh South. Look for a small parking area near the lookout point. Be aware that parking may be limited.

  • Walking

    From Doolin, you can take the Doolin Cliff Walk south towards the Cliffs of Moher. Note that the trail has been closed since August 2024, and you can only hike to Surfer's Path (Pollboy) before turning around. The walk to Pollboy is approximately 5 km and takes about 1.5 to 2 hours. Be sure to wear comfortable shoes and be prepared for uneven terrain.

  • Public Transport

    From the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre, take the local bus towards Ennistymon. In Ennistymon, transfer to a local bus heading towards Lough South. Inform the driver of your destination. Upon reaching Lough South, you may need to walk approximately 1.5 kilometers to reach Pollboy Lookout. Bus fare from Cliffs of Moher Visitor Centre to Ennistymon is approximately €5. Check local bus schedules in advance as they may vary.
