Walking
From Dingle town center, start at the Dingle Tourist Office located on Strand Street. Head west on Strand Street until you reach the junction with Green Street. Turn left onto Green Street and continue straight for about 500 meters until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto the R559 road, which leads toward Slea Head Drive. Continue on the R559 for approximately 7 kilometers (around 1.5 hours walking). Keep an eye out for the signs directing you to Coumeenoole Beach. As you approach, you will notice signs indicating the beach. You’ll need to walk down a narrow path from the main road to reach Coumeenoole Beach.

Bicycle
Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Dingle town. Start your journey from the Dingle Tourist Office on Strand Street. Cycle west along Strand Street, then take a left onto Green Street. Continue to the roundabout, and take the first exit onto the R559. Follow the R559 for about 7 kilometers (around 20-30 minutes cycling). Look for signs to Coumeenoole Beach. Once you arrive, park your bike at the designated area and walk down the path to the beach.

To reach Coumeenoole Beach using public transport, first head to the Dingle Bus Station located near the town center. Look for bus services that operate to Slea Head Drive. Confirm with the driver that they stop near Coumeenoole Beach. Once you board the bus, enjoy the scenic route along Slea Head Drive. When the bus stops, disembark and follow the signs leading to Coumeenoole Beach, which is a short walk down a path from the bus stop.
