Getting There

Walking

Start at the Dingle town center, specifically at the Dingle Tourist Office located on Strand Street. From there, head southwest on Strand Street until you reach the junction with the N86. Turn left onto the N86 and continue walking for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass by the Dingle Marina on your right. Keep an eye out for signs towards Ventry. After 1.5 kilometers, take a right onto a smaller road that leads towards Ventry. Continue on this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach Kilvickadownig. The Fairy Fort Ringfort is located on your left off the road near the edge of the village.
Local Bus

From Dingle, you can take the local bus service that operates to Ventry. Check the local bus schedule at the Dingle Tourist Office for the most up-to-date information. Once you board the bus, inform the driver that you want to get off at Ventry. The bus will take you along the scenic route. After a 15-minute ride, you will arrive in Ventry. From the bus stop, head southwest along the main road for about 1 kilometer. Look for signs indicating Kilvickadownig. The Fairy Fort Ringfort will be located on your left-hand side as you approach the village.
Bicycle Rental

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle in Dingle. Start at the bicycle rental shop and head towards the N86. Follow the same route as if you were walking: take the N86 southwest, passing the marina. After approximately 1.5 kilometers, turn right onto the smaller road towards Ventry. Continue cycling for about 1 kilometer until you reach Kilvickadownig. The Fairy Fort Ringfort will be on your left, just off the main road. This route is scenic and allows you to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the area.
