Walking
Start from the Dingle town center, where you can find the Dingle Tourist Office. Head west on Green Street towards the harbor. Continue walking along the waterfront, enjoying the scenic views. When you reach the end of the harbor, turn left onto the R559 road. Follow the R559 for about 15-20 minutes until you reach the junction with the N86. Turn right onto the N86, and continue for approximately 10 minutes. You will see signage for the Skellig Ring, which is a scenic route. Follow the signs for the Skellig Ring, and you will start to see breathtaking views along the way.
Public Transport
From Dingle town center, make your way to the nearest bus stop, which is located on the Main Street. Look for the bus service that heads towards Waterville or Portmagee, as they serve the Skellig Ring area. Board the bus and inform the driver you are heading to Skellig Ring. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Keep an eye out for the scenic views along the route. Once you arrive at the Skellig Ring area, you can get off at any of the stops where you would like to explore.
Bicycle Rental
If you prefer to cycle, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Dingle. From the rental shop, head towards the waterfront and take the R559 road. Follow the same route as mentioned in the walking instructions. Cycling will give you a chance to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful landscapes along the way. Ensure you have a map or GPS on your phone to help navigate the twists and turns of the Skellig Ring.
