  • Walking

    Begin your journey from the Drogheda town center. Head northwest on West Street towards the River Boyne. Continue straight until you reach the bridge, crossing the River Boyne. After crossing, turn left onto the N51 (Dublin Road) and follow the road signs for Kells. Continue walking along the N51, passing various shops and cafes. After approximately 3 kilometers, you will see signs directing you to Kells. As you approach Kells, keep an eye out for Cannon Street. When you reach Cannon Street, turn right and walk for about 500 meters until you see Kells Round Tower on your left.

    From Drogheda, head to the Drogheda Bus Station located on the Dublin Road. Take the bus service to Kells, which is operated by Bus Éireann. The journey typically takes around 30-40 minutes. Make sure to get off at the stop closest to Kells town center. Once you arrive, walk straight towards Cannon Street, which should be a short 10-minute walk from the bus stop.
