Getting There

DART Train
From the city center, head to the nearest DART station, either Pearse Station or Tara Street Station. Purchase a ticket to Malahide. The train journey takes about 30 minutes. Once on the train, enjoy the scenic ride along Dublin Bay. When you arrive at Malahide Station, exit the train and head towards the station exit. From the station, turn left and walk straight for about 15 minutes along the main road (Malahide Road) until you reach the entrance of Malahide Castle & Gardens.

You can take the 42 or 43 bus from Dublin city center. Board the bus at a stop such as O'Connell Street or Abbey Street. Make sure to check the bus timetable for the latest schedule. The bus ride will take approximately 40 minutes. Get off at the stop closest to Malahide Castle, which is usually 'Malahide, Malahide Castle'. From there, it is a short walk to the entrance of the gardens.

Walking & Public Transport Combination
If you prefer a more scenic route, you can walk from Dublin city center to the nearest DART station (Pearse or Tara Street) and take the DART to Malahide as described above. Alternatively, take a bus to a nearby area and walk the rest of the way, which allows you to explore the neighborhood. Once you arrive in Malahide, follow the signs to Malahide Castle & Gardens, which is approximately a 20-minute walk from the bus stop.
