Walking
If you are starting at Eyre Square, head south towards Shop Street. Continue straight until you reach the Spanish Arch. From there, turn left onto Quay Street and follow it until you reach the bridge. Cross over the Salmon Weir Bridge onto the other side of the River Corrib. Once across, turn right and follow the riverbank for about 10 minutes. You will pass by the grounds of NUI Galway. Continue along the path until you see the large building of Galway Cathedral on your left. It is located at Gaol Rd, H91 A780.

Bus
If you are near Eyre Square, walk to the nearest bus stop at the Square. Catch the bus number 404 towards 'Knocknacarra'. Stay on for about 15 minutes and get off at the 'Cathedral' stop. From the bus stop, walk back a short distance along the road, and you will see the Galway Cathedral directly ahead at Gaol Rd, H91 A780.
