If you are starting from Eyre Square, head northwest towards the pedestrian street, Shop Street. Continue walking straight along Shop Street until you reach Quay Street. Turn left onto Quay Street and walk until you reach the Spanish Arch. The Galway City Museum is located just behind the Spanish Arch on Spanish Parade.

Take a bus from the Galway Bus Station (located at 1-2 Coach Station, Fairgreen Road). Look for a bus heading towards the city center, such as the 404 or 405 route. Get off at the stop near the Spanish Arch. From there, walk towards the Spanish Arch, and the museum will be directly behind it on Spanish Parade.
