If you are driving, from Killarney town center, head southwest on the N71 towards Killorglin. After about 5 km, turn left onto the R563 towards Tomies Wood. Continue on the R563 for approximately 3 km, and you will see the entrance to Tomies Wood on your left. There is parking available near the entrance.

To reach Tomies Wood using public transport, take Bus Éireann Route 40 from Killarney towards Tralee. Get off at the stop named 'Aghadoe' after about 10 minutes. From there, it is a 30-minute walk to Tomies Wood; head southeast on the R563 road until you reach the entrance on your left. Alternatively, check local taxi services for a direct ride to Tomies Wood.

If you are already in Killarney National Park and prefer to walk, start from the Killarney National Park Visitor Centre. Walk along the main path towards Muckross House. After about 1.5 km, you will reach the junction where you can turn right onto the R563. Continue along this road for about 2 km, and you will find the entrance to Tomies Wood on your right.
