Getting There

  • Bus

    From Onchan, head to the nearest bus stop located on Main Road. Take the bus number 1 or 2 towards Douglas. Get off at the 'Peel' bus stop. Once you exit, walk toward the direction of the bus you came from and cross over to the other side of the road. Continue straight along the road, which will turn into the A27. Follow this road for approximately 2 miles until you reach Patrick Village. The Centre for WW1 Internment will be on your right at Patrick Old School, just off the main road.

    Start at Onchan Park and head southwest toward the main road (Main Road). Turn left onto Main Road and walk towards Douglas. After about 0.5 miles, you'll reach the bus stop. From there, you can take the bus as described above or continue walking. If you choose to walk directly, follow Main Road until you reach the junction for the A27. Turn right onto A27 and continue walking for about 2 miles. You will arrive in Patrick Village where the Centre for WW1 Internment is located on your right.
