Getting There

  • Walking

    From the center of Peel, head east on the main street (Crown Street) towards the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto the A20 road towards Castletown. Continue walking straight for about 1.5 miles. As you approach Castletown, you will see signs directing you to Castle Rushen. The castle is located on Castle Street, and you will see its impressive structure on your left. It should take approximately 30-40 minutes to walk there.

  • Bus

    From Peel Bus Station, take the bus number 1 towards Douglas. The bus will stop at various points, including Castletown. Stay on the bus for about 20 minutes until you reach the Castletown stop. Once you get off, walk straight for about 5 minutes on Castle Street, and you will arrive at Castle Rushen on your right. Make sure to check the bus schedule for return timings!

  • Bicycle

    If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bike from one of the local rental shops in Peel. From the bike rental, head east on the main street towards the A20 road. Follow the same route as for walking, cycling along the A20 towards Castletown. The ride is approximately 1.5 miles and should take around 10-15 minutes. Once you reach Castletown, park your bike and walk towards Castle Street to find Castle Rushen on your left.
