Getting There

Walking
Start at the Port St Mary bus stop, located on the main road (A27). From the bus stop, head northeast on the A27 towards the village of Castletown. Follow the A27 for about 2 miles (approximately 30-40 minutes walk). As you approach Castletown, you'll notice the castle's tall structure in the distance. Once you reach the roundabout at the entrance to Castletown, continue straight onto the main road (Castletown Road). After a short distance, take the first left onto Castle Street. Continue along Castle Street, and you will see Castle Rushen on your left. The entrance is clearly marked.

From Port St Mary, head to the nearest bus stop on the main road (A27). Take the bus number 1 or 2 heading towards Douglas. Inform the driver you want to get off at Castletown. The journey takes about 15-20 minutes. Once you arrive in Castletown, exit the bus and walk towards Castle Street. Turn left onto Castle Street, and after a short walk, you will find Castle Rushen on your left. The entrance will be clearly visible.
