If you're starting from the Jaffa Gate, exit the Old City through the Jaffa Gate and walk straight along Jaffa Street. If you're near the Machane Yehuda Market, you can take the bus. Find the bus stop at the market and catch bus number 7 or 19. These will take you towards Ben Yehuda Street. Get off at the 'Ben Yehuda' stop. You will be just a short walk away from the main pedestrian area.
