Public Transport
From the City Center (Zion Square), walk to the nearby tram station. Take the light rail tram (Line 1) heading towards the Mount Herzl station. Ride the tram for about 10 minutes and get off at 'Shimon HaTzadik' station. From there, walk south on Shimon HaTzadik street until you reach the intersection with Rechov HaRav Kook. Turn right onto Rechov HaRav Kook and continue for about 10 minutes until you reach the main road. Here, you can catch a bus (Bus number 21) that goes towards the 'Tzahal Square' area. Get off at the 'Tzahal Square' stop and follow signs toward the Old City. From Tzahal Square, head towards the Old City and walk through the Armenian Quarter until you find the entrance to the Akeldama Monastery. The monastery is located on the southern slope of the Mount of Olives, just outside the Old City walls.
Walking
Starting from the Old City near the Jaffa Gate, head east towards the Armenian Quarter. Walk straight through the quarter and exit towards the Mount of Olives. After exiting, continue walking along the road that leads to the Mount of Olives Cemetery. Keep walking for about 20 minutes until you reach the Akeldama Monastery. The monastery is situated on the left side of the road, just before you reach the Kidron Valley.
