If you are traveling by car, start from the nearest major city, Jerusalem. Take Highway 1 (Jerusalem-Tel Aviv road) and then merge onto Route 90 heading south towards the Dead Sea. Continue on Route 90 for approximately 30 kilometers. After passing the town of Ein Gedi, look for signs directing you towards Qumran National Park. The entrance is located at 1 Kalya, approximately 3 kilometers north of the Dead Sea. There is a parking area available at the park entrance.
