Ferry
From Amalfi, head to the Amalfi Harbour, which is located at the end of the main town square, Piazza Flavio Gioia. Once at the Harbour, look for the ferry terminal that has signs for Positano. Purchase a ticket from the kiosk if you haven't already. Board the ferry to Positano; the journey takes approximately 30 minutes and offers stunning views of the coastline.
Bus
Walk to the bus stop on the main road (Via Lorenzo di Amalfi) near the church of Santa Maria Assunta. Look for the SITA bus with a destination to Positano. Buses run regularly, but be sure to check the schedule as it varies by season. The bus ride takes about 40 minutes, and you’ll enjoy beautiful views along the winding coastal roads.
Walking (via the Path of the Gods)
For the adventurous, start at the Amalfi Cathedral and head to the nearby village of Bomerano, which is about a 45-minute hike. From the town center, follow the signs for 'Sentiero degli Dei' (Path of the Gods). The trail is steep but offers breathtaking views. Once you reach Bomerano, catch a local bus that will take you down to Positano. Note: This is a full-day hike and should be attempted by those in good physical condition.
