From the center of Amalfi, head towards the Amalfi Cathedral (Duomo di Amalfi). Once you reach the cathedral, take the stairs down towards the main road (Via Lorenzo d'Amalfi). Continue walking straight for about 10-15 minutes until you reach the bus station (Stazione degli Autobus). Here, purchase a ticket for a bus heading to Pompei. Board the bus and enjoy the scenic ride. The journey will take approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Pompei bus terminal, exit and head towards Via dell'Abbondanza. The Casa e Thermopolium di Vetutius Placidus will be on your left at number 8. The entrance is easily identifiable with a sign.

From Amalfi, walk to the nearest bus stop and take a bus to Salerno (approximately 1 hour). Once you arrive at Salerno, follow the signs to the train station (Stazione di Salerno). Purchase a ticket for a train heading to Pompei. The train ride will take around 30 minutes. When you arrive at Pompei Scavi (the Pompei archaeological site station), exit the station and walk towards Via dell'Abbondanza. The Casa e Thermopolium di Vetutius Placidus is located at number 8, just a short walk from the station.
