From Arezzo, head to the main bus station, 'Stazione degli Autobus', located near the train station. Purchase a ticket to Asciano at the ticket counter or kiosk. Board the bus for Asciano. The journey will take approximately 30-40 minutes. Once you arrive in Asciano, ask the driver to let you off at the nearest stop to Monte Oliveto Maggiore or check the bus route in advance to ensure you stop at the right place. From the bus stop, it's about a 10-15 minute walk to the Abbey, following Via Monte Oliveto Maggiore.

If you are already in Asciano, navigate to the town center and find Via Roma. Follow this road until you reach the junction with Via Monte Oliveto Maggiore. Turn onto Via Monte Oliveto Maggiore and continue straight. You will see signs directing you to the Abbey. It is about a 30-minute walk from the town center to the Abbey.

If you prefer cycling, you can rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Arezzo. Ride towards the bus station and take the bus to Asciano as described above. Once in Asciano, you can cycle to Monte Oliveto Maggiore. The route is scenic and takes about 15-20 minutes from the town center of Asciano. Follow the same path as the walking route, but enjoy the views as you ride.
