From Piazza del Comune in Assisi, head east on Via Portica towards Via San Francesco. Continue straight until you reach the Basilica di San Francesco. From there, follow the signs for Via San Francesco and head up the hill. After about 1.5 kilometers, you will reach the intersection with Via San Giovanni. Turn left and follow this road as it winds through the countryside. Continue walking for another 3 kilometers until you reach Roccaporena. Look for the signs directing you to the town center.
