Bus
From Catania, head to the Catania Central Bus Station (Stazione degli Autobus), which is located near Piazza Giovanni Verga. You can walk there if you are in the city center, or take a local bus to the station. Look for the Interbus service that operates to Taormina. The buses run regularly, and the journey will take about 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Taormina bus station, you will be about a 15-minute walk from Corso Umberto. Exit the bus station and walk straight down Via Luigi Pirandello until you reach the main road, then turn left onto Corso Umberto.
Train
Take a train from Catania Centrale to Taormina-Giardini station. The train station is located in the city center, so you can easily walk there. Check the train schedule, as services run frequently. The journey takes approximately 50 minutes. Once you arrive at Taormina-Giardini station, exit the station and take the local bus (line 1) or a taxi to get up to Taormina town. If you prefer to walk, follow the path leading uphill from the station, which takes about 30 minutes. When you reach the town, head towards Corso Umberto, which is the main street lined with shops and restaurants.
Walking
If you are already in Taormina, you can easily reach Corso Umberto by walking. From the main square (Piazza IX Aprile), head downhill towards Via Teatro Greco. Follow the signs for Corso Umberto, which is a pedestrian street. The street is vibrant and lined with shops, cafes, and historical sites. It will take you around 5-10 minutes to walk to the heart of Corso Umberto.
