Getting There

  • Car

    From Cervinia, drive towards the town of Valtournenche on SS405. After approximately 15 minutes, follow signs to Zermatt. Park your car at the designated parking area in Täsch, the last drivable town before Zermatt. Note that there are parking fees, typically around €15-€20 per day.

  • Train

    After parking in Täsch, take the shuttle train to Zermatt, which runs frequently and takes about 12 minutes. The train fare is approximately CHF 8 (Swiss Francs) one way. Once in Zermatt, proceed through the village towards the Gornergrat railway station.

  • Gornergrat Railway

    At the Gornergrat railway station, purchase a ticket to Gornergrat, which provides stunning views along the way. The round trip ticket is around CHF 90. Disembark at Gornergrat and follow the marked trails towards Gorner Gorge. The hike from the Gornergrat station to Gorner Gorge takes about 1-1.5 hours.

  • Hiking
