Starting from the center of Cortina d'Ampezzo, head southwest on Corso Italia. Continue on this road until you reach the junction with SS51. Take a right onto SS51 and follow it for about 4 kilometers. Look for signs indicating 'Lago Son Forca' as you approach. After another 5 kilometers, turn left onto a small road that leads directly to the lake. There is a parking area available near the lake, but be aware that parking may incur a small fee, typically around €5 for the day.

From the main bus station in Cortina d'Ampezzo, take the local bus service to 'Malga Ra Stua.' Buses run regularly, but be sure to check the schedule in advance as they may vary by season. The journey takes approximately 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Malga Ra Stua, you will need to hike about 30 minutes along the marked trail towards Lago Son Forca.
