Start your journey at the Genoa Brignole train station. From there, take a train towards Santa Margherita Ligure. Trains run frequently, so check the schedule for the next departure. The journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Santa Margherita Ligure station, exit and head towards the waterfront. You can either walk along the beautiful promenade or take a local bus. If you choose to walk, follow the coastal road (Lungomare) towards Portofino, which is approximately a 30-minute scenic walk. If you prefer the bus, catch line 82 towards Portofino, which will take about 15 minutes. Get off at the Portofino stop. From the bus stop, walk down the main street until you reach the marina, then follow the signs to Spiaggia dell'Olivetta, which is a short walk from the marina.

Begin at the Porto Antico area of Genoa, where you can find the ferry terminal. Purchase a ticket for a ferry to Portofino. The ferry ride offers stunning views of the coastline and takes about 40 minutes. Once you arrive at the Portofino ferry terminal, exit and proceed along the waterfront. Follow the path that leads to Spiaggia dell'Olivetta, which is a short walk from the terminal. Enjoy the scenic views along the way!
