Walking
From Lucca Centrale train station, exit and turn right onto Via Giuseppe Mazzini. Walk straight for about 700 meters until you reach the city walls. Enter through Porta San Pietro. Continue straight on Via San Paolino until you reach Piazza San Michele. Turn left onto Via Roma, which leads to Corso Garibaldi, about 300 meters on your right. Walking within the city walls is free.
Public Transport
From the bus station at Piazzale Verdi, take bus line LAM Rossa towards Lucca Centro. Get off at Piazza San Michele. Turn right onto Via Roma and walk straight for about 300 meters until you see Corso Garibaldi on your right. A bus ticket is around €1.50 if purchased in advance, or €2 if purchased on board.
Parking
If driving, several parking lots are available outside the city walls. Consider Park Mazzini (northeast) for cheaper rates (€0.50 - €1/hour) or Park Carducci (southwest) at €1/hour (daily rate of €5). Blue parking spaces are available along Corso Garibaldi, costing around €1-1.50/hour. Be aware of ZTL zones and parking restrictions. Parking inside the walls can be more expensive.
