If you are starting from the Lucca Train Station (Stazione di Lucca), exit the station and head southwest on Via Giuseppe Mazzini. After about 700 meters, turn left onto Via San Paolino. Continue walking straight until you reach the city walls. Enter the walls via Porta San Pietro. Once inside, walk straight until you reach Piazza San Francesco. From there, turn left onto Via Fillungo, the main shopping street. Continue until you reach the end of the street, then turn right onto Via dei Carraresi. Follow this road until you arrive at Piazzale Vittorio Emanuele, where the statue is located.

From the Basilica di San Frediano, head east on Via della Rosa, and take a left onto Via Sant'Andrea. Continue straight until you reach the city walls. Enter through Porta San Donato. Once inside, follow the wall path until you reach the northern section. Turn right at the first intersection onto Via della Libertà, then turn right again onto Via della Cavallerizza. This road will lead you to Piazzale Vittorio Emanuele where the statue is located.
