Parco Aldo Aniasi, located in the north-west of Milan, is a sprawling urban park offering a welcome escape from the city's hustle and bustle. It remained an agricultural area until 1971 when it was transformed into a public park. The park was renamed in 2012 to honor Aldo Aniasi, who served as the mayor of Milan from 1967 to 1976.Today, Parco Aldo Aniasi is a popular destination for sports and recreation. It features free-access sports facilities, a 4 km running track, and ample space for various activities. Within the park, you'll find the British War Cemetery, where 417 Commonwealth soldiers from World War II are buried.
