Getting There

• Public Transport

  From the center of Orvieto, walk to the Orvieto train station (Stazione di Orvieto). It is approximately a 15-minute walk downhill. Once at the station, take the train towards Bagnoregio. The train ride will take around 25 minutes. Upon arrival at Bagnoregio station, exit the station and head towards the bus stop located outside. Take the local bus that heads to Civita di Bagnoregio. The bus ride will take approximately 15 minutes. Get off at the Civita di Bagnoregio stop. From there, you can either walk or take a taxi to Castello Delle Rocchette, which is about a 10-minute drive away.

• Walking

  Starting from the Piazza del Popolo in Orvieto, head northeast towards Via della Repubblica. Walk straight until you reach the steps leading down to the train station. After reaching the station, follow the previous public transport instructions to Bagnoregio. If you prefer to walk from Civita di Bagnoregio, head towards Via Ferriera which leads directly to Castello Delle Rocchette. It is approximately a 30-minute walk from Civita.

• Taxi

  If you prefer a more direct route, you can take a taxi from Orvieto directly to Castello Delle Rocchette. It's recommended to ask your hotel or a local for the nearest taxi service. The ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Make sure to provide the driver with the address: Via Ferriera, 01022 Bagnoregio, Viterbo VT.
