Getting There

• Walking

  From the Pompeii Archaeological Park entrance, head south on Via Villa dei Misteri towards Via Plinio. Turn right onto Via Plinio and continue until you reach the main road, Corso Vittorio Emanuele. Once you reach Corso Vittorio Emanuele, turn left and walk straight until you reach the next major intersection. You will find the train station, Pompeii Scavi – Villa dei Misteri, on your left. Board a train to Salerno, which takes around 40 minutes. Upon arrival at Salerno train station, exit the station and walk towards Piazza della Concordia. From there, head east on Via Roma, which will lead you directly to Piazza Matteo Luciani. The Teatro Verdi is located at the end of this square, at number 1.

  From the Pompeii Archaeological Park entrance, walk to the Pompeii Scavi – Villa dei Misteri train station, located about a 15-minute walk away. Once at the station, purchase a ticket to Salerno, which is approximately a 40-minute ride. After disembarking at Salerno train station, exit and head towards Piazza della Concordia. Take Via Roma heading east, which will lead you to Piazza Matteo Luciani. The Teatro Verdi is situated at number 1 in the square.

  If you prefer a quicker option, you can take a taxi from the Pompeii Archaeological Park entrance. Simply approach a taxi stand or hail one on the street. Inform the driver that you want to go to Teatro Verdi, located at Piazza Matteo Luciani, 1 in Salerno. The journey may take around 30 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. This is a convenient option if you're traveling in a group or have limited time.
