Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Bologna. Get on A1 from Via dell'Indipendenza and Via Riva di Reno. Follow A1 and A14 to SS9 in Modena. Take exit 158-Modena Nord from A1. Continue on SS9 for about 5 km until you reach the center of Modena. Once you reach Modena, follow the signs to Piazza S. Domenico, which is located in the historical center. There are several parking options around the square; look for 'Parcheggio Centro' or 'Parcheggio Vittorio Emanuele II'.
Public Transportation
To reach Piazza S. Domenico by public transportation from Bologna, take a train from Bologna Centrale to Modena. Trains run frequently, and the journey takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Modena train station, exit and take bus line 5 or 6 towards the city center. Get off at the stop 'Piazza Matteotti'. From there, it's a short walk to Piazza S. Domenico. Head south on Via Emilia, then turn left onto Via S. Domenico, which will lead you directly to the square.
