If you find yourself in the main square of Trieste, Piazza Unità d'Italia, start walking towards the sea. Continue along the waterfront promenade, Riva Tre Novembre. After about a 10-minute walk, you will reach the old town. Look for the signs directing you to Castello di San Giusto. Follow the winding streets uphill towards the castle. Once you reach the castle, you’ll see the direction for Via della Cattedrale. Continue walking down that road until you reach Via della Cattedrale, where the Ancient columns of San Giusto are located at number 3.

From the main train station, Trieste Centrale, exit the station and head to the bus stop located just outside. Take bus number 20 or 21, which will take you towards the city center. Get off at the 'Cattedrale' stop. From there, it’s a short walk. Head towards Via della Cattedrale, and you will find the Ancient columns of San Giusto at number 3. The total journey should take about 20-30 minutes depending on the waiting time for the bus.
