If you are traveling by car, start from Aosta, the capital of Valle d'Aosta. Take the SS26 road heading towards Pré-Saint-Didier. Continue on SS26 for approximately 25 kilometers until you reach the village of La Salle. From La Salle, turn onto the SP20 road and follow the signs to Glacier. After reaching Glacier, continue on the SP20 until you see signs for Cascata di Barliard. There is a small parking area near the trailhead where you can park your car. The hike to the waterfall is about a 30-minute walk from the parking area.

For those using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Aosta to La Salle. The bus service is provided by Trasporti Pubblici Valle d'Aosta. Check the bus schedule as it may vary. Once you arrive in La Salle, you will need to catch a local bus or taxi to Glacier, as there are limited public transport options directly to Glacier. After reaching Glacier, you can follow the signs leading to Cascata di Barliard. Be prepared to walk for about 30 minutes on a scenic trail to the waterfall.
