Getting There

  • Car

    From Venice, take the A4 motorway towards Trieste. After approximately 30 kilometers, take the exit towards Padova Est. Continue on the SS11 road, following signs for Padova. Once in Padua, follow the signs to the city center. Piazza Petrarca will be located near the heart of the city, just a short distance from the main parking areas. Look for parking signs, and once parked, it’s a short 10-minute walk to the piazza.

    Take a train from Venice Santa Lucia station to Padua. Trains run frequently, and the journey takes about 25 to 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Padua train station, exit the station and head towards the bus station located nearby or take a taxi. If you choose to walk, it’s about a 20-minute stroll to Piazza Petrarca. Head southwest on Via Gattamelata, continue straight onto Via Armistizio, and follow the signs to the city center where you will find the piazza.

    From Venice, you can take a bus from Piazzale Roma to Padua. The journey takes approximately 1 hour. Once you arrive at the Padua bus station, walk towards the city center which is about a 15-minute walk. Head straight on Viale della Libertà, and then take a left onto Via Roma.
