Getting There

Walking
If you are starting from Piazza San Marco, simply walk towards the Doge's Palace, which is located at P.za San Marco, 1. The palace is immediately visible as it is one of the most prominent buildings in the square. If you are at the Basilica di San Marco, you can see the palace directly across the square.

Vaporetto (Waterbus)
Take the Vaporetto Line 1 or Line 2 and get off at the San Marco - Vallaresso stop. From there, walk towards the square. You'll be walking through the picturesque streets of Venice, and the Doge's Palace will be just a short 5-minute walk away, directly in front of you once you reach the square.

If you are near the Rialto Bridge, head towards the San Marco area. Walk straight down the Merceria degli Orefici, which leads directly to Piazza San Marco. Once you arrive in the square, the Doge's Palace will be right in front of you. This walk takes approximately 15 minutes.

From the train station (Santa Lucia), walk towards the Piazzale Roma and take the Vaporetto from there to the San Marco - Vallaresso stop. Alternatively, you can walk through the streets which takes about 30 minutes. Follow the signs towards San Marco, and when you reach the square, the Doge's Palace will be directly in front of you.
