If you are starting from the famous Rialto Bridge, head northeast along the Calle della Botteghe. Continue straight until you reach the Campo San Bartolomeo. From there, take the Calle dei Fabbri which will lead you to the Grand Canal. Once you reach the Grand Canal, turn left and walk along the water's edge. You will start to see the Cannaregio Canal branching off to your right after a few minutes of walking. Follow the path along Cannaregio Canal for a scenic stroll.

If you are near Piazzale Roma, take the Vaporetto Line 1 from the Piazzale Roma stop. It will take you along the Grand Canal. Get off at the 'Fondamenta Nove' stop.
