If you are in the city center, head towards Piazza Erbe, which is about a 10-minute walk from most central locations. From Piazza Erbe, walk south on Via Mazzini until you reach the intersection with Corso Porta Borsari. Turn right onto Corso Porta Borsari and continue straight until you reach the Adige River. Once you reach the river, turn left and walk along the riverbank for about 5 minutes. You will soon see Ponte Pietra, the beautiful ancient bridge that crosses the river.
Public Transport
From the Verona Porta Nuova train station, you can take bus line 11 or 12 towards 'Piazza Bra'. Get off at 'Piazza Bra' stop. From there, walk towards Via Mazzini and head towards Piazza Erbe. Continue as explained in the walking directions above. The total journey will take approximately 30 minutes including the bus ride.
Bike Rental
If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bicycle from one of the many rental shops around the city. Start at the bike rental location and head towards the river via Via Roma.
