Getting There

• Bus

  From Portmore, head to the nearest bus stop and take a route taxi or bus heading towards Kingston. Look for buses labeled 'Half Way Tree' or 'Downtown Kingston'. Once on the bus, inform the driver that you are going to 'Old Hope Road'. The journey will take approximately 30-45 minutes, depending on traffic. Disembark at the intersection of Old Hope Road and Constant Spring Road. From there, walk north on Old Hope Road for about 10 minutes. Hope Botanical Gardens will be on your left at 231 Old Hope Road.

• Route Taxi

  Find a route taxi in Portmore that indicates it is heading towards Kingston. Make sure it has a sign that says 'Kingston'. Once you get on the route taxi, tell the driver you want to go to 'Old Hope Road'. It should take around 30-45 minutes. The taxi will drop you off at the intersection of Old Hope Road and Constant Spring Road. From there, walk north on Old Hope Road for about 10 minutes, and you will find Hope Botanical Gardens on your left at 231 Old Hope Road.

• Walking

  If you are near the Portmore Mall, start by walking towards the Portmore Causeway. From the causeway, you can catch a bus or route taxi heading to Kingston, which is your best option as walking directly to Kingston can be quite long. Once you reach Kingston, follow the previous directions for bus or route taxi to Old Hope Road.
