Getting There

  • Train

    From Hakata Station, take the JR Kagoshima Line towards Kagoshima-Chuo. Get off at Dazaifu Station (approximately 30 minutes). Once you arrive at Dazaifu Station, exit the station and turn left. Walk along the main road for about 15 minutes. You will see signs directing you to the Kyushu National Museum. Follow the signs until you reach the museum entrance, which is located at 4 Chome-7-2 Ishizaka, Dazaifu.

    From Tenjin Bus Terminal, take the Nishitetsu bus bound for Dazaifu. The bus ride takes about 40 minutes. Get off at the Dazaifu stop. From there, walk straight along the main road for about 15 minutes, following the signs to Kyushu National Museum, located at 4 Chome-7-2 Ishizaka.

  • Subway and Train

    From Tenjin Station, take the Fukuoka City Subway Nanakuma Line to Hakata Station. Then transfer to the JR Kagoshima Line and take the train to Dazaifu Station (total travel time about 45 minutes).
