Getting There

  • Car

    If you're driving from Hakone, take National Route 1 (Route 1) towards Odawara. Once you reach Odawara, continue on Route 1 for about 20 km (approximately 30 minutes) until you reach Kamakura. Follow the signs for Kamakura Station and then for Yuigahama. After passing the station, continue straight until you reach the intersection at Yuigahama. Turn right onto Yuigahama Street, and then turn left onto 4 Chome. Kaihinso Kamakura (4 Chome-8-14 Yuigahama) will be on your left. Parking is available nearby but may incur additional costs.

  • Train

    For those using public transportation, take the Hakone Tozan Railway from Hakone-Yumoto Station to Odawara Station. From Odawara Station, transfer to the JR Shonan-Shinjuku Line or the JR Yokosuka Line and head towards Kamakura Station. The journey from Odawara to Kamakura takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive at Kamakura Station, exit the station and walk towards the East Exit. From there, you can catch a local bus towards Yuigahama (bus 23 or 24) or take a taxi for a short ride of about 5 minutes. If you prefer to walk, it will take approximately 15-20 minutes. Head towards Yuigahama Beach, and you will find Kaihinso Kamakura at 4 Chome-8-14 Yuigahama.

    Alternatively, you can take a bus from Hakone. Head to the Hakone Town Bus terminal and take the bus heading towards Odawara Station. After arriving at Odawara Station, switch to the JR Shonan-Shinjuku Line or the JR Yokosuka Line to Kamakura Station. After arriving at Kamakura Station, follow the instructions provided above to reach Kaihinso Kamakura.
