Getting There

  • Public Transportation

    From Hakone Yumoto Station, take the Odakyu Line train towards Shinjuku. Get off at Kamakura Station (approximately 35 minutes). Once at Kamakura Station, exit the station and head towards the East Exit. From there, you can catch the bus number 23 or 24 from the bus terminal, which will take you towards Ogigayatsu. Get off at the 'Ogigayatsu' stop. The Statue of Minamoto no Yoritomo is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop. Head straight and follow the signs towards the park where the statue is located.

    From Hakone, take the Route 1 highway towards Odawara. Merge onto Route 134 towards Kamakura. Continue on Route 134 for about 20 kilometers until you reach Kamakura. Once you arrive in Kamakura, follow signs to the city center and look for parking options near the park. The closest parking lot is near the Genjiyama Park, which is a short distance from the statue. After parking, walk towards Ogigayatsu Street, and you will find the Statue of Minamoto no Yoritomo within the park area.
