Getting There

  • Car

    If you are driving, take the Sanyo Expressway and exit at Hiroshima East IC. From the exit, follow Route 2 towards Hiroshima city center. After approximately 10 kilometers, you will reach Naka Ward. Look for Nakajimacho on your left. The Peace Kannon Statue is located at 1-1 Nakajimacho. There is limited parking available nearby, so be prepared to find street parking or use a public parking lot.

  • Public Transportation - Train

    If you prefer public transportation, take the JR Sanyo Line to Hiroshima Station. From Hiroshima Station, transfer to the Hiroshima Electric Railway (Hiroden) tram line. Take the tram heading towards Eba and get off at the 'Kencho-mae' stop. From there, it's about a 10-minute walk to the Peace Kannon Statue. Head south on Chuo-dori Street, then turn left onto Nakajimacho. The statue is at the end of the street. The tram fare from Hiroshima Station is approximately 200 yen.
