Car
If you're driving from central Kai, head east on Route 20. After approximately 10 kilometers, merge onto the Chuo Expressway (E20) and continue for about 15 kilometers. Take the exit toward Kofu-minami and follow the signs toward Kofu city. After about 5 kilometers, you will see signs for Hanako the elephant statue. Follow the local roads to the address: 1 Chome-15 Kichijoji Honcho, Musashino, Tokyo. Keep in mind that parking may be limited near the statue, so look for designated parking areas.

From central Kai, take a train from Kai Station to Kofu Station, which takes about 10 minutes. At Kofu Station, transfer to the JR Chuo Line toward Tokyo and get off at Musashino Station (approximately 45 minutes). From Musashino Station, exit the station and take a bus or a taxi to the statue's location at 1 Chome-15 Kichijoji Honcho, Musashino, Tokyo. The bus fare will typically cost around 200-300 yen, while a taxi may cost around 1,000-1,500 yen depending on traffic.
