Getting There

  • Walking

    If you're starting from Kanazawa Station, exit the station and head towards the east exit. Once outside, follow the signs for the Kanazawa Castle Park. Walk straight along the main road (Kinoshita Street) for about 1 kilometer. You'll pass several shops and cafés. As you get closer to the castle park, look for the large green space on your left, which is the park entrance. Continue walking towards the entrance of the park, and soon you will see the Ishikawa-mon Gate on your left.

  • Public Transport - Bus

    From Kanazawa Station, take the bus marked for 'Kanazawa Castle' or 'Kenrokuen' (Bus stop number 5). The bus ride will take approximately 10 minutes. Get off at the 'Kanazawa Castle Park' stop. Once you disembark, walk back towards the entrance of the park, and you will see Ishikawa-mon Gate to your left, just a short walk away.

  • Walking from Kenrokuen Garden

    If you're visiting Kenrokuen Garden first, exit the garden from the main entrance. Head towards the road and turn left. Walk along the path that leads you towards Kanazawa Castle Park. In about 10 minutes, you will arrive at the Ishikawa-mon Gate, which will be visible on your right as you approach the castle grounds.
