If you are driving, start from the main road (Route 42) in Tanabe. Enter Route 311 towards Nakahechi. Continue on Route 311 for approximately 20 km until you reach a junction. Turn left onto Route 168 and follow the signs to Takahara. After about 5 km, you will see signs for Takahara Kumano Shrine. The shrine is located at 1120 Nakahechicho Takahara, Tanabe, Wakayama 646-1416. Parking is available near the shrine.

To reach Takahara Kumano Shrine using public transport, take a train from Kii-Tanabe Station to Kii-Katsuura Station. The train ride takes about 30 minutes.
