Car

If you're driving from central Kyoto, start on Route 1 (also known as the Kyoto City Loop). Head southeast towards Higashiyama. Turn right onto Honmachi street and look for Chikujō Sō at 15 Chome-756-2, which will be on your left. Parking is available nearby, but be prepared to pay for parking fees that are typically around 500-1000 yen per hour.
Public Transportation

From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Subway Line to the Higashiyama Station. The fare is approximately 260 yen. Once you exit the station, head east on Shijo-dori street. You will need to transfer to bus number 100 or 206 at the nearest bus stop, which will take you towards the Higashiyama area. The bus fare is about 230 yen.
