Car
If you're driving from central Kyoto, start on Route 1 (also known as the Kyoto City Loop). Head southeast towards Higashiyama. Once you reach the intersection near the Kyoto National Museum, turn left onto Route 367. Continue straight for about 6 km until you see signs for Honmachi. Turn right onto Honmachi street and look for Chikujō Sō at 15 Chome-756-2, which will be on your left. Parking is available nearby, but be prepared to pay for parking fees that are typically around 500-1000 yen per hour.

Public Transportation
From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Subway Line to the Higashiyama Station. The fare is approximately 260 yen. Once you exit the station, head east on Shijo-dori street. You will need to transfer to bus number 100 or 206 at the nearest bus stop, which will take you towards the Higashiyama area. The bus fare is about 230 yen. Get off at the Honmachi bus stop, which is a short walk from Chikujō Sō at 15 Chome-756-2. The total travel time should be around 40-50 minutes.
