Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the center of Fujikawaguchiko. Head east on Route 139, following the signs towards Lake Kawaguchi. Continue along this road for approximately 10 minutes until you reach the intersection with Route 300. Turn left onto Route 300, and after about 5 minutes, you'll see signs for 鏡池 (Kagami-ike). Look for parking near the lake, which is usually available. The lake is located at 1996 Funatsu, Fujikawaguchiko, Minamitsuru District, Yamanashi 401-0301.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, start by taking a bus from Fujikawaguchiko Station. Board the Fujikyu Bus bound for Kawaguchi Lake and get off at the 'Kawaguchi-ko' bus stop. From there, transfer to another Fujikyu Bus that goes towards Funatsu. Get off at the 'Kagami-ike' stop, which is about a 10-minute ride. The lake is a short walk from the bus stop, and you can follow the signs that direct you to the lake. Please check the current bus schedule as it may vary by season.
Walking
If you are already near Lake Kawaguchi, you can walk to 鏡池. Start from the lakeside promenade and follow signs toward Funatsu. It is approximately a 30-minute walk from the main area of Lake Kawaguchi. Enjoy the scenic views along the way as you approach the lake where you can see the inverted image of Mt. Fuji.
