Getting There

  • Car

    If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Nara and head southeast on Route 369. After approximately 10 minutes, take a right onto Route 24. Continue straight for about 5 km until you reach the intersection with Route 169. Turn left onto Route 169 and drive for another 3 km. You should see signs for Suzakumon Square as you approach the area. There is parking available nearby, but be aware that parking fees may apply, typically around ¥500 for a few hours.

  • Public Transportation (Bus)

    From Nara Station, take the Nara Kotsu Bus (Line 70) towards Heijo Palace. The bus ride takes about 20 minutes. Get off at the Suzakumon-mae stop. The square is a short 5-minute walk from the bus stop. Follow the signs pointing to Suzakumon Square. The bus fare is approximately ¥230.

  • Public Transportation (Train and Walk)

    If you're close to the Yamatoji Line, take a train towards Nara Station. Once at Nara Station, transfer to the Nara Kotsu Bus (Line 70) and follow the same instructions as above. Alternatively, from Nara Station, you can walk to Suzakumon Square. It’s about a 30-minute walk, heading east on Route 369, then turning right onto Route 24.
