From Kyoto Station, take the Karasuma Line to Karasuma Oike Station, then transfer to the Tozai Line and disembark at Sanjo Station. From there, it is a 5-minute walk to the theater. The one-way subway fare is approximately ¥220-360. Alternatively, take Kyoto City Bus routes 4, 5, 17, or 205 to the Shijo Kawaramachi stop, followed by a short walk. The flat fare for Kyoto City Buses within the central area is ¥230 for adults.

Taxis are readily available in Kyoto and offer a convenient way to reach the Pontocho Kaburenjo Theater. From Kyoto Station, a taxi ride to the theater typically costs between ¥1,000 and ¥1,200 and takes approximately 15-20 minutes, depending on traffic. Taxi fares in Kyoto start at ¥490-500 for the first 1 km, with additional charges of ¥100 for every 279 meters. Note that a 20% surcharge applies between 10:00 PM and 5:00 AM.

The Pontocho Kaburenjo Theater is located in the Pontocho district, a short walk from major transportation hubs. From Gion-Shijo Station on the Keihan Line or Kyoto-Kawaramachi Station on the Hankyu Line, it is approximately a 10-15 minute walk to the theater. As you walk north along the Kamo River, you'll find the theater on your left, nestled among the traditional restaurants and shops of Pontocho Alley.
